Operations Specialist

We are a fast-growing startup organization seeking a full-time Operations Specialist to join our OCC operations team to assist in the safety, quality, and productivity of the warehouse. The position is onsite, working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with one hour lunch.

Department: OCC Reports To: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Seek (OFI) opportunity for improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost delivery.
  • Lead/ Support continuous improvement projects focused on driving improvements in designated KPI metrics.
  • Set up of warehouse layout and operational flow.
  • Assist in managing material flow process, ensuring area production performance achieves customer demand requirements.
  • Provide assistance where required in ensuring standard operating procedures for Consolidation Center (CC) operations are being followed.
  • Strong understanding of C-TPAT standards and the requirements for maintaining C-TPAT certification.
  • Assist in maintaining service records and inspections are completed for forklifts and tuggers.
  • Assist in ensuring safety procedures are followed and assist in conducting incident investigations, completing reports and corrective actions as required.
  • Provide direction in Team Leads and all warehouse staff (e.g. receiving scheduled, unpacking, line feeding, housekeeping, etc.)
  • Assist in setup and maintenance for an accurate inventory control system.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance of procedures in warehouse within and outside department (e.g. material handlers leaving materials and packing in a neat and organized manner)
  • Ensure EDI transmissions are properly processed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the Teal Leaders are following C-TPAT compliance and resolve any issues that may occur.
  • Report all operational issues to COO, including analysis and recommendations.
  • Other task as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • College degree in logistics or related field and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of warehouse operations, manufacturing/automotive experience.
  • Ability to multi- task under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
  • Comfortable sitting for long periods of time while working on tasks
  • Knowledge of C-TPAT compliance
  • Detail oriented and data accurate
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

The estimated base salary range for the Operations Specialist is $55,700-$61,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
