Early Childhood Lead Teacher - 2 Year Olds

Summary

We are looking for a caring and loving teacher for our 2024-2025 preschool year that runs from September to May.

Duties

Observe working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Prepare the classroom for school start-up and school closing at the beginning and end of the school year.
Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom and equipment daily/weekly.
Maintain continual communication with parents through telephone calls, personal notes, conferences, etc., as needed.
Attend monthly staff meeting (first staff meeting August 27), Open House meeting (August 28), and any training sessions scheduled.
Maintain and turn in Lesson Plans by the 1st of each month.
Supervise children in group and individual activities, in the classroom, on the playground, and during special events.
Participate in CPR/First Aid Certification training (If certification is not current)

Requirements

Must love working with children and be patient, loving and nurturing.
Must enjoy working in a team environment with the assistant teacher and other staff members. Prior preschool experience preferred but not mandatory.
Satisfactory Background and fingerprinting check
Doctor certification and negative TB test

Nice To Haves

Part time hours from end of August through end of May.
Morning preschool only, daily hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Ravensworth Baptist PDO Preschool program was established in 1970 as an outreach ministry to families in the surrounding community and continues strong today.We are an inclusive community and welcome families from all faiths, race, color, and ethnic backgrounds. The play-based preschool program provides an environment in which each child's natural enthusiasm and self-esteem can blossom. Our play curriculum is designed to foster intellectual as well as physical, emotional, and social development. All teachers at the school are experienced in preschool education and/or have a degree/credentials from an accredited college or university. Teachers participate in annual continuing education classes and are certified in First Aid and CPR. Our teachers are loving, nurturing, and dedicated to the safety and well-being of each child.
