The basic function of a Superintendent is to effectively coordinate administrative efforts with the field production efforts. Superintendents efficiently schedule labor efforts and material procurement. They are responsible for strategic planning and reviewing each project daily as well as implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Coordinates with sub-contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure the projects are completed from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner. Understands roofing practices, codes and regulations. This position will report directly to the Reroof dept manager.
TASKS:
- Promote cooperation, communication and coordination between the job site and the office.
- Ensure that the information flow and instructions needed to complete the job is shared and ensure that the process is efficient.
- Ensure all work is completed in a craftsman like manner and to the specification, and satisfaction of the customer.
- Make decisions regarding manpower and equipment needs to keep production flowing.
- Review work in progress to assure that schedules are being maintained
- Show ability to consistently recognize and deal with priorities, while keeping a balance, of what our customers want, and when they want it, with what is operationally and economically feasible for us to provide.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2-years experience working as a Project Manager for a Florida Roofing Company
- OUTSTANDING communication skills
- Reliable, can work well under pressure.
- Detail oriented.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to walk on steep pitch roofs
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Ability to lead a field team.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Must be 25+yrs (Auto Insurance)
- Must have a VALID FL driver's license
- Comply with OSHA requirements
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, regular use of a ladder. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
