Banquet Server (Part-time)

We are seeking energetic and capable part-time Banquet Servers to join our expanding Food and Beverage team at Columbia Woodlands! Servers at Columbia are not only responsible for serving meals to our general dining guests, they also serve at a variety of different events including social gatherings, weddings, public events, & corporate meetings.

We would love to talk with you if you have:

• The ability to take direction well, think quickly on their feet, as well as always have a positive attitude & maintaining composure, even when under stressful situations.
• One year experience in a catering or restaurant setting (Preferred, but not required!)
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide a memorable guest experience while being courteous and attentive during interactions.
• Must be proactive and adjustable with the ability to work both independently and as a team member, following instructions.
• An upbeat personality and eager to do work in a hospitality setting.
• Ability to meet physical demands of job, such as staying on feet, climbing stairs and carrying heavy objects as well as be able to push, pull, carry heavy objects (trays, dish racks, glass racks etc.)
• Ability to learn the menu, understanding and communicating nightly changes, while making recommendations based on guest's tastes and diet restrictions.

Tasks include, but not limited to:

• Assisting with the preparation of the set up and preparation of event space and tables for service with attention to detail for presentation and sanitation, adhering to safety and quality regulations.

• Tending to guests upon entrance of event, providing a welcoming entry and directing them to the necessary locations.
• Having knowledge of the sequence of service and following it each time when serving, supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction when necessary.
• Working closely with the Chef and Wedding Coordinator.
• Present menus and help guests select food and beverages.
• Take and serve orders.
