Part-Time Upper School Economics and Personal Finance Teacher

The ideal candidate is a flexible and creative educator who can support grade 11 and 12 students electing to further their understanding of personal finance and microeconomics. This teacher's primary responsibilities include teaching three modules of personal finance and 4 modules of microeconomics in an established curriculum, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a learning experience that aligns with the goals and practices of the division and the academic program. Candidates ought to be confident, flexible, and passionate about learning and teaching, and have the capacity to promote financial and economic literacy and proficiency while cultivating curiosity. Ideal candidates have a master's degree in economics or a related field. Classroom teaching experience, strong organizational and classroom management skills, and the ability to joyfully teach high school children are required.

This position may be combined with substitute teaching or other part-time work like our after-school program or coaching.
