Position Overview:

Our Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment at our client's oil and gas production facilities, and related infrastructure. This position has the potential to advance into a Control Technician position with company provided training. 


Major Duties:

  • Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, and lighting systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
    Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to understand system configurations and wiring diagrams.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to schedule electrical work, prioritize tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety awareness and hazard identification.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory using computerized maintenance management systems or other tracking tools.
  • Participate in training programs and safety meetings to enhance technical skills, knowledge, and safety awareness.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
  • Proven experience as an Electrician in the oil and gas industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in production facilities, or related infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards applicable to the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in using electrical test equipment, instruments, and tools for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements, with a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation.


Physical Requirements:

  • Walking, occasional lifting to 35 lbs.
  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use
  • Periods of sitting and standing may be necessary
  • May be requested to work outside of normal work schedule to meet business needs.


Work Schedule:

  • 5 days on/2 days off
  • 8 hours per day


Working Conditions & Hazards:

  • If the individual visits the operations worksite, personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are required. Safety rules, including OSHA and DOT requirements, are strictly enforced.
