Salary:

Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation, a Missouri Community Action Agency, is seeking a Director of Children’s Services.  The Director of Children’s Services will have the  primary responsibility to provide leadership, management, coordination and implementation for Head Start Centers and Early Head Start Centers serving approximately 1,000 children and employing approximately 350 staff members.  As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Children’s Services will report to the President and Chief Executive Officer and assume a strategic role in the overall operations of a private, not-for-profit Community Action Agency serving a six county area in Southeast Missouri.

 

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitors multi-million-dollar budget report for program expenditures and makes recommendations for budget changes as necessary to approving authorities.
  • Implements monitoring process which will measure program effectiveness and goal achievements according to program regulations.
  • Coordinates with Policy Council in conducting Self-assessment of Head Start/Early Head Start Program and is responsible for implementing changes based on results of Self-Assessment.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective communication channels are open at all levels of program operations including funding source, Board, staff, parents and community.

 

 Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BS in Administration, Social Work, or Education required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in grant funded program management
