  1. Description of the Position

Responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining a variety of production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality, and minimizing downtime. Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, conducting routine maintenance checks, maintain efficiency and safety of our operations. Collaborate with our team to fabricate parts for repairs and upgrades, while adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining detailed maintenance records.

  1. Essential Responsibilities
  • Install new production equipment to meet operational needs.
  • Service and maintain a range of equipment, including motors, transmission systems, and other production-related machinery.
  • Inspect and assess the functionality of industrial equipment, identifying areas for improvement or repair.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Adjust mechanical parts as needed, using both hand and machine tools for optimal performance.
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades, employing precision and craftsmanship.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks to prevent potential hazards and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and submit detailed maintenance reports to document work performed and track equipment status.

  • Maintains working area clean and organized.
  • Comply and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, local and federal regulations.
  • Perform other tasks and projects, as requested.

  1. Education, Skills, and Competencies
  • Completion of technical/vocation school program. Associate degree, preferrable, in technical program, business administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to follow instructions and user manuals.
  • Knowledge of safety and applicable regulations.
  • Knowledge of forklift operations.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret construction, mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems:
    • pumps, motors, and related equipment of the facilities
  • Experience with general equipment and systems:
    • pumps, fans, motors
    • fire protection and alarms
    • vacuum and compressed air
    • air handling units
  • Computer literate
