Job Description
Under general direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Purchasing & Inventory Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes team oversite, inventory management, shipping and receiving oversite, as well as order filling. The Purchasing & Inventory Manger serves as a safety advocate for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee all purchasing, inventory, and warehouse employees.
- Oversee all purchasing and inventory activities.
- Review all shipping and freight costs.
- Approve all vendor invoices.
- Double check for accuracy bank equipment sales jobs
- Work with sales to forecast and order all ATM/ITM machines and bank equipment.
- Communicate with vendors to reduce equipment costs, reduce freight costs, schedule timely deliveries and equipment recommendations.
- Schedule and complete physical inventory count for all warehouses twice per year
- Complete employee annual reviews
- Oversee and work with safety management company for safety compliance.
- Oversee facility and ground maintenance cleaning, repairs, purchases, etc.
- Accurately completes all paperwork, including timesheets, in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by senior leadership to meet the needs of the business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associate degree in Business or similar discipline preferred
- Requires five-year minimum relatable work experience.
- Previous supervisor experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Inventory database systems – Proficiency in computer systems required.
- Familiarity with Purchase Orders (P.O.’s) and Work Orders (W.O.’s)
- Money-saving strategies in shipping of related parts and equipment
- Total inventory organization/management
- Familiar with bill of lading
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
- Familiarity with bookkeeping, inventory control practices and logistics
SKILLS:
- Recognize cost-saving areas and communicate any strategies effectively.
- Oversee operation and training of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Great interpersonal skills
- Good management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally ascents/ descends a ladder.
- Constantly positions self to maintain inventory as necessary .
- Ability to work long hours on one’s feet
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Operations
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
HOURS OF WORK: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but must be flexible in order to service customers.
