What will I be doing?

As a Parent/Caregiver Peer Support Specialist, you will assist clients in their recovery process, crisis intervention, and create personalized treatment plans.

You will be working on:

  • Communication skills
  • Individual Wellness Recovery
  • Crisis intervention and treatment
  • Case management activities
  • Creating individual treatment plans based on individual needs

Am I a good fit?

In this position you will be travelling in the community to meet families where they are. A flexible schedule is important for this role and allows you to have control over your session planning. You will have significant documentation and travel, so good time management is a must!

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be a High School Graduate or have GED.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in state of employment with a safe driving record.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have successfully completed state specific Peer Specialist training and exam.
