Cloth Inspectors Trainees - 3rd shift (12hr overnight) $17-18.50/hr

This is a 12-hour shift, 2/2/3 schedule with every other weekend off. Inspection runs from 8pm to 8am and the Finishing Area runs 7:30 pm to 7:30am

UPDATE: This is not a physically demanding role. You get to listen to headphones once trained and you’re just doing visual inspections on cloth. It does require standing in one place independently working and focused for 12 hours overnight but no heavy lifting and great pay. You do not need textile experience but you must have some quality-related experience and a strong attention to detail. Unfortunately, we will not be able to work with anyone with poor eyesight or color blindness for this role!

*The Position we might look for in Inspection would be what is called a High-Speed Cutter. This person is inspecting fabric and using a computerized machine to cut the fabric roll to Customer specifications. The right person would need to be comfortable using computerized equipment, this job is very individualized and they work on their own inspection frame it doesn’t require much walking so people who have done a more sedentary job can be successful in this role. We still require some manufacturing experience.

*Finishing Department also runs a 12-hour shift. The Slitter Role but we also hire Finish Range Associates which is one of our higher-paying jobs and it requires strong experience. They will run a large “oven” that processes the fabric with our finish chemicals. They mix chemicals, it requires some heavy lifting and computer equipment operation.

2. Someone who can work at a fast pace but still have attention to detail and strong eye for quality

3. Someone that has good longevity with past employers and at least 5 years of manufacturing experience

4. Someone mechanically inclined that loves problem solving (loves to work on cars, is a handyman or woman around the house, sews as a hobby, or has done equipment repair work etc.

5. Doesn't mind loud/noise environment.

Responsibilities

· Perform basic problem-solving skills throughout your shift

· Setup and operate the creel machine to company standards

· Review and interpret machine efficiency data throughout your shift

· Complete quality paperwork
