Material Handler with Forklift Experience

Express Employment Professionals is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find local people. We are currently recruiting for two Material Handlers for a Scottdale-based manufacturing company.

The Material Handler/Cycle Counter is responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and cycle counting. They will operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials, transfer materials, and move materials within the warehouse to pick orders and put away products. This position unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices and maintains records of received goods rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Lifts heavy items up to 50 lbs throughout the day and may operate a forklift with proper certification. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory to mechanical and electrical assembly manufacturing lines.

Must be willing to work in a general warehouse during downtimes.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of Material Handling experience
• Experience with Cycle Counting (a plus)
• Knowledge of material handling procedures (Picking/Packing(
• Understand environmental health and safety requirements
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to comfortably lift 50LBS
• Must be certified or recently OSHA forklift certified
• Must have an upbeat can-do attitude and a willingness to help other departments as needed
• Prefer Stand-up Forklift experience
• Box Truck (26ft) experience desired but not required

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Forklift certified with 2-4 years experience
• Must have strong work ethics!!

• 6:00AM - 4:30PM Mon - Thurs
• Friday - potential overtime
