CNC Machinist

Summary: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs).
• Operate a variety of machine tools as needed to complete a job per customer requirements.
• Fit or assemble parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines.
• Study specifications, such as blueprints, sketches or description of part(s) to be manufactured or replaced,
and plan a sequence of operations.
Skills and Abilities Required:
• Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures
• 3+ years of experience
• Knowledge of reading blueprints
• Conform with all regulations, policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk
and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to
talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift/or move up to
50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment: while performing duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving
mechanical parts.
Beneficial Skills and Abilities:
• Technical or vocational school or training in Machine Trades/Manufacturing.
• Possess machining tools that are essential to the trade.
