Database Administrator - JBSA Randolph, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the uptime of the databases applicable to the domain
  • Responsible for the performance of server instances and the safety (backups) of the data in the database
  • Provide the required support for installing new DBMS versions and applying maintenance fixes and patches
  • Set and tune system parameters and other technical DBA responsibilities
  • Work with developers to optimize code
  • Develop, manage and test installations, upgrades, replication, backup and recovery of current databases
  • Implement access control, monitor user access and performance of the database systems
  • Provide database assistance as needed to the developers
  • Make and test modifications to the database structure when needed
  • Maintain the database and update permissions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline
  • Experience with working in a mixed OS environment of or not limited to Windows, UNIX, LINUX, etc.
  • Three years of relevant experience
  • Must have experience with Kubernetes, MSSQL, POSTGre Sql and MongoDB
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Sec + or other IAT Level II certification required
  • Active Security clearance required
