Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Processor (PT) will be under direct supervision of the Accounts Payable Specialist. The AP Processor is responsible for a variety of functions related to the Company's Accounts Payable process.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the integrity of the Bank's Accounts Payable System.
  • Create and maintain vendor information; obtain onboarding info such as W-9, OFAC, and ACH information.
  • Input invoices and other payables into the accounts payable system.
  • Determine and assign the appropriate general ledger account number and description to incoming invoices and verify appropriate sales and use tax for each location.
  • Verify all invoices submitted for payment are properly approved with the appropriate level of authorization and documentation necessary to process in accordance with bank policy before processing final payment.
  • Research and resolve monthly vendor statements and invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure invoices of thirty days or more are verified for previous payment.
  • Process Transaction Manager in Prologue when processing checks.
  • Process and mail AP checks timely.
  • Process ACH payments.
  • Address inquiries from vendors and/or Hanover Bank's departments regarding past-due invoices and/or paid invoices.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Professional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years related work experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong PC skills including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and ethical behavior at all times.
