Job Title: Service Manager


Job Type: Full-time


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to join our team. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our service department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service possible. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision and training of Shop and Field Service Technicians, Parts Specialist and maintenance employees;
  • Generate service-related revenue;
  • Schedule jobs for Technicians to ensure timely repairs for rental and customer equipment;
  • Create work schedules and maintain proper accounting of Service Technician productivity;
  • Ensure safe working environment;
  • Recruit, hire and develop Service Technicians;
  • Work with Equipment, Branch and Crane managers to coordinate the overall delivery of quality performance by the Service Technicians;
  • Ensure upkeep of the buildings and grounds;
  • Assist with parts acquisition and purchase order system;
  • Ensure all jobs are completed safely, on time and correctly;
  • Work with vendors to obtain assistance when needed;
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors;
  • Maintain knowledge of manufacturer's updates and advances in technology as related to the job;
  • Estimate and bid jobs;
  • Assist with marketing objectives;
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout entire department;

- High School Diploma required, Associates degree preferred

- 5+ years of experience in service management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to manage and motivate a team

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
