Director, Talent & Organizational Development

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the Vice President of Human Resources (HR) to develop and execute talent and organizational development strategies with a focus on training, talent development, onboarding, internships, and employee retention.  
  • Analyze training needs within the context of organizational structure, goals, and compliance. 
  • Develop, implement, and lead a development program for all employees (to include management level). 
  • Develop comprehensive training modules and instructional material that aligns with current trends and approaches, to include, but not limited to workbooks, learning guides, and media content (e.g., video, podcasts). 
  • Conduct training and/or work with external resources to ensure dynamic training needs are met. 
  • Define, measure, and communicate key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of talent development program efforts to assist with decision making. 
  • Support the budget process for talent and organizational development resources. 
  • Maintain and manage talent development content on the company SharePoint site. 
  • Analyze survey results to identify trends and create strategy for effective employee engagement and retention. 
  • Support the continued development and execution of onboarding strategy. 
  • Engage with Operations and BD teams to determine current and future talent needs of the projects and the organization.  Assist with project transition plans and transition of talent between contracts to align bid and performance needs.   
  • Assist capture managers with identification of potential internal staffing resources for proposals as needed. 
  • Collaborate with Leadership Teams to assess organizational needs and design effective succession planning and talent pipelines. 
  • Represent HR on the company Training Council. 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Candidates must have at least eight (8) years of relevant HR Talent Development experience. 
  • Development and implementation of a Talent & Organizational Development Program. 
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and/or Certified Talent Management Practitioner (TMP) 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word 
  • Candidate must demonstrate the following: 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Strong management and leadership skills 
    • Ability to multi-task and function well on a team 
    • Exceptional work ethic 

Preferred Skills & Experience: 

  • Experience in the Department of Defense industry 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint 

Education:  A Bachelor's degree preferred
