Job Description:

About the Role: 

As the Senior Human Resources Manager, you play a critical role in supporting our plant's workforce. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Managing various HR functions such as recruitment, training, employee relations, compensations, health and safety, payroll, and HRIS system management. 
  • Experience in managing in a union environment.
  • Conducting full-cycle recruiting, from job postings to new employee orientation, and managing onboarding activities. 
  • Administering payroll processes for both hourly and salaried staff on a weekly and semimonthly basis. 
  • Providing ongoing employee training in areas like health and safety, performance management, and recognition. 
  • Ensuring a positive work environment by organizing employee activities and events. 
  • Administering company leave programs and managing worker's compensation claims, ensuring compliance with employment laws. 
  • Maintaining HR analytic reports and assisting in employee training & development processes. 
  • Supporting the implementation and consistent application of human resources policies. 
  • Managing HR projects at the plant level and facilitating timely communication of HR memos, programs, and policies. 

About You: 

You’ll fit right in if you have: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Basic knowledge/experience in Lean operating systems and ability to work flexible hours. 
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Kronos, and payroll systems, along with excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite). 
  • Experience in conducting employee investigations and knowledge of employment laws and regulations. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of related Human Resources and labor relations experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
