As The Director of Outpatient Services with VOAMASS, you'll have a dynamic and critical role being responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall site management of our community based mental health clinics in Quincy and Taunton,MA. You will ensure that overall operations and business production exceeds expectation and oversee the quality of services being provided.The Director of Outpatient Services hires, trains, and retains a diverse and competent set of staff (including an incredible team of masters-level clinicians) across the clinics to ensure that quality care is being provided. You will also work to strengthen referrals and relationships with internal programs and external stakeholders and will serve as a program leader for advancing the integrated services model.


The Director of Outpatient Services role is about making a difference in the lives of the people we serve. You'll bring the following qualifications:

  • An active Massachusetts professional license in either the field of Mental Health or Social Work (LMHC or LICSW).
  • Experience or interest in business administration and operations, over clinical administration or clinical practice.
  • A minimum of five years management experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic or setting using an EHR system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a wide range of mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Strong working knowledge and currency in the Behavioral Health field and a strong network within the field.
  • Knowledge of licensing, credentialing, budgets, and billing collections.

Some of your critical responsibilities:

  • Ensure that VOAMASS's values, mission, vision, and strategy is being executed.
  • Monitor overall operations at each location and outreach sites to ensure high quality services and best practices are provided to all persons served.
  • Provide oversight and supervision to supervisory staff and provide administrative oversight to clinic staff.
  • Maintain regularly documented communication with clinic staff to ensure needs of staffing, the clinic, persons served, budgets, office coverage, and records requirements are met.
  • Ensure program metrics and KPI's are being met for all services.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive, and collaborative relationships with staff and leadership across VOAMASS; specifically working with our residential recovery services programs and veteran programs to ensure that our integrated behavioral healthcare model is being encouraged, enforced and supported.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive, community stakeholder and MCO relations effort and marketing/outreach, especially with other service providers, to obtain a steady flow of referrals, and increase and seize growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all program services are being delivered according to specifications and implement new services according to VOAMASS's overall strategic plan.
  • Ensure that all clinic and outreach sites meet or exceed all applicable standards, regulations, laws, and VOAMASS policies.
