The Director Supply Chain Quality Business Lead serves as the connection with the Supply Chain Quality partners at WCH & Biosurgery site Quality leads and Source Quality leads to ensure deployment of continuous improvement activities. The Supply Chain Quality Business Leader will ensure that we are better aligned to support the needs of the business, ultimately helping to transform the way we serve customers and patients with high-quality and compliant products each and every day into the future.The Director is responsible to maintain a connection with the Quality Centers of Excellence through strategies that drive continuous quality excellence, maintain supply chain compliance, providing platform (Ethicon Wound Closure and Healing and Biosurgery) support and addressing customer facing needs. In addition, this leader will identify and implement key capabilities that will make Quality a competitive advantage by unlocking efficiency and accelerating execution. This role has organizational responsibility for budget, governance and project coordination and at time, direct management of projects. Key Responsibilities:Serve as the single point of contact for Quality Centers of Excellence in all of the End to End platform/franchise forums developing and driving End to End Supply Chain Quality strategies.Collaborate with other Quality and Supply Chain partners in identifying and deploying platform end to end strategies associated with Service, Quality, Compliance and People enabling platform Strategic Plans and Long-Range Financial PlanningEnsure that all processes needed to operate both the Legal entities including implementation of EU MDR are established, implemented, and maintained.Support the resolutions of platform issues associated with QMS, Compliance, Remediation & Audit Strategies.Maintain and lead overall budget for Ethicon WCHB SCQ budget including routine reporting for all WCHB manufacturing sites, Source Quality and home office/admin budgets, LRFP, JU, NU and BP preparation and presentations.Provide overall governance and organization for Ethicon WCHB SC Quality organization including G&O preparation and review, staff meetings, budget and project reviews.Provide oversight and direct project management as directed by the Ethicon WCH SC Quality Leader. Strong connection to WCHB Strategy & PMO group/leaders, SC Quality Network Optimization teams.Delegate of the Sr. Supply Chain Quality Director. Maintain access to appropriate Quality System platforms in order to complete approvals as needed (e.g. ETQ, Adaptiv, etc.)Follow all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001)Responsible for presenting business or quality related issues or opportunities to next management level, assisting site teams with these decisions and investigations as needed.Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicableResponsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.QualificationsEducation:A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science, Engineering, Physical Science or related field is required.Experience and Skills:Required: A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience and/or training in a regulated environment.A minimum of five (5) years of active management experience, including direct supervision and matrix management.General knowledge of e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills.Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, project management and problem solving.Preferred:Manufacturing site experience in manufacturing, business excellence or quality Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field Knowledge of ISO13485 and QSR/EU MDD-MDR regulations Key front-room role experience with FDA (or similar) inspection and Notified Body inspectionsOther:Project management and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications are preferred. This position may require up to 25% domestic & international travel.Weekend travel and work, and participation in conference calls and meetings during late night/early morning hours may be required occasionally.An internal pre-identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950.Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
