Details:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an immediate hire position in Canton, Michigan. This is a full-time opportunity, with 40 hours per week, until June 7, 2024. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students with disabilities, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in academic and behavioral areas.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the inclusion of students with disabilities in the general education curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full-time, immediate hire position.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Contract Duration: Until June 7, 2024.
