Location: Avalon, CA 90704
Facility: LTC/SNF
Start: ASAP
Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 Hour Days 6am-6pm Nights 6pm-6am

CNA Pay rate: $18/hr.

Job Summary:
All employees are expected to perform their duties as set forth here and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and Mission, Values, and Vision of the facility. The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction with respect and dignity.

Responsibilities:
• Aids in activities of patients’ daily needs.
• Work closely with patients in all age categories.
• Performs treatments and procedures not requiring sterile techniques.
• Records and reports observation of patients to immediate supervisor, including temperatures, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, daily intake, and output.
• May transport patients, equipment, and supplies.
• May do surgical preps and may assist in the preparation of patients for treatment and examination.
• Bathes bed-confined residents or assists resident in self bathing.
• Assist residents with meals as necessary,
• Assists and interacts with residents’ families as necessary and appropriate.
• Cleans and reports condition of equipment.

Requirements:
• Current Resume - must be updated (gaps included if there's any)
• Nursing license – Active CA license
• Minimum of Three to Six months experience in SNF setting
• Current CPR /BLS
• Skills checklist
• 2current supervisor references
• Physical (within the last 12 months)
• PPD (within the last 12 months)
• MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap/Flu (or decline)
• CNA Exams
• Copy or driver’s license and SS card
• Must be able to pass background/ urine drug screen

IMPORTANT NOTE!!
For travelers looking for housing, there's a Housing studio apartment at the island and is offered at $200-300 per week paid for by traveler.
There is also a $200 non-refundable cleaning fee.
Boat Tickets are provided at the ferry ticket counter. No personal automobiles are allowed on the Island.
