Accounts Receivable Clerk

Robert Half has partnered with a successful firm in finding an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their growing team. You will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer accounts receivable issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger. Responsibilities

- Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

- Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP

- Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment

- Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

- Test documents and codes

- Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

- Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

- Skilled with ERP systems

- Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable

- Data entry experience required

- Strong familiarity with Code Invoices

- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular
