Job Description
Position: Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer
Location: Waverly, VA 23890
Type: 6-Month Contract w/ Potential Extensions or Permanent Conversion
Hours: Monday-Friday; 6am-4/4:30pm; Occasional Saturday Work
Overtime: 10 Hours/Week
Pay Range: $19-22/HR
Day-to-Day:
- Working in the elements (Sun/Rain/Wind/ETC.). Working on a plant that processes dirt and sand.
- Operating heavy equipment.
- Helping to dig out the excavator, working with raw material dirt, shoveling if needed.
- Working in an environment where it is dirty, a lot of water, dirt, and sand.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience operating any time of heavy equipment
- Comfortable with working in the elements and a messy work environment
- Willing to commit to the 6-month contract or longer, if extended or converted into a permanent position
- Ability to work about 10 hours of overtime every week
