Maintenance Tech Essential Functions:
- Experience with AC/DC motor drives and related controls.
- Utilizes fabrication skills for making assemblies as directed.
- Proficient in electrical blueprint reading and troubleshooting.
- Some experience with PLC systems.
- Diagnoses malfunctions of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Assists with assembling and installing industrial equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance duties and maintains documentation.
- Executes project work for implementing improvements.
- Basic computer skills for documentation maintenance.
- Requisitions supplies, spare parts, and repair items.
- Adheres to all company safety procedures.
- Flexible to adjust work hours as per company needs.
- Recommends measures to enhance methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Maintains CMMS program and keeps the work area clean and orderly.
- Inspects work area and performs general carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and maintenance tasks on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Assists visitors, trades, and contractors with repairs and modifications.
- Completes all assigned duties as directed by Supervisor.
- Secures equipment, completes paperwork, and performs general housekeeping at the end of the shift.
Maintenance Tech Competencies:

- Proficient in mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Possesses required tools and understands maintenance safety.
- Able to use hand tools properly and safely.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
- Innovative, flexible, and adept at handling multiple priorities.
- Direct experience in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and blueprints, and write routine reports.
- Proficient in mathematical calculations and applying instructions.
Maintenance Tech Education:
Minimum 3 years verifiable experience or schooling in mechanical and 2 years in electrical field, preferably in manufacturing.
- Completion of specified areas of study within 1 year if external, including basic electricity, electronics, PLCs, pneumatics, and other relevant topics.
