Direct Support Professional DSP

DSP Job Details:

• Somerset, KY
• Full time
• 2nd and 3rd shift available
• $16.80-$17.85/hr depending on certification/education
• Overtime possible
• Temp with intent to hire
• Every 3rd weekend off

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation, and proof of current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to meet criminal background and drug screening standards.

Job Description:

• Provide around the clock care and supervision of residents with developmental disabilities.
• Provide caregiver assistance with a variety of skills such as hygiene, home management, leisure activities, and living skills.
• Assist with transferring residents between equipment.
• Follow and maintain all federal and state regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure the safety, welfare, and the preservation of rights of clients.
• Completes and maintains a variety of documentation on every shift.
