Job Summary:
Seeking an engineer to develop, design, and integrate components and tooling for medical ultrasound transducers, ensuring high quality, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional engineering experience.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, including tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of mechanical construction design in plastic and/or metal, with an understanding of mass manufacturability (mold/assembly tooling design).
- Experienced in developing engineering concepts and advancing them to functional prototypes.
- Skilled in creating detailed MCAD designs and drawings, applying GD&T.
- Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal simulations.
- Experienced with CNC machining or CNC machined part design.
- Knowledgeable in injection molding or injection molded part design.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience in failure analysis related to design or manufacturing processes.
- Capable of documenting test plans, reports, and technical reviews.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, realize, and integrate components and tooling related to medical ultrasound transducers.
- Develop designs focusing on user and business requirements, compliance, quality, and cost.
- Combine existing and/or purchased elements into medical ultrasound transducers and manufacturing processes.
- Finalize design and integration; write and execute verification plans for components and tooling.
- Test, analyze, and verify design quality.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Industrialization, and operations teams to develop new and improve current manufacturing processes.
- Ensure proper documentation according to I2M process templates.
Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
