ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Ashville, AL. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Job Description:

  • Provide instruction to students with special needs in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning goals and abilities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the education team, including parents, administrators, and related service providers, to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies and instructional materials to facilitate student learning and promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet the evolving needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom climate that celebrates diversity and encourages student engagement and participation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
