Desktop Support Analyst

Robert Half is working with a company in the Food & Food Processing field to find a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. Problem solvers who enjoy working in a challenging and positive environment may do well in this Desktop Support Technician position. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity based in the Dinuba, California, area.

Your responsibilities in this role

·        Responsible for work order entry, call information gathering, hardware problem resolution, network troubleshooting, work order assignments, status reporting, and timely resolution of open help desk entries.

·        Assist with hardware roll out and the setting up of hardware.

·        Function as a key member of the team and escalation point to provide day-to-day operation of corporate production systems.

·        Respond to and resolve operational problems and adhere to service level agreements.

·        Ensure capacity and stability of corporate and production systems environment is maintained at an acceptable level.

·        Perform Microsoft Windows system administration, installation, upgrades, patching, turning, and troubleshooting on production workstations.

·        Participate in planning and testing system and application-level upgrades.

·        Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 2-3 years related experience.

·        Must have a good understanding of personal computers and associated hardware.

·        Knowledge of software configuration and troubleshooting required.

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

·        Exposure to Microsoft Windows (server and workstation) and basic network trouble shooting procedures are required.

·        Knowledge of Apple iOS and Android operating systems

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·        Proven Project Management skills and strong solving skills, people skills and the ability to work independently.
