School Behavior Technician Job - Anacortes, Washington

I am looking to hire afull-time certified or registered behavior technician (CBT/ RBT) to work at a school district near the Anacortes, Washington area. This position is full-time for the remainder of the 2023 - 2024 school year with a strong chance of renewing into the next school year 2024 - 2025. The position is working 1:1 with a K-5 student at one location in the district. The hours are 35 hours per week with a schedule of 9:00 - 3:30pm PST.

Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior plans and interventions as designed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Collect and record data on student progress and behavior
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other members of the student's educational team
• Participate in regular meetings with the BCBA to discuss student progress and modify behavior plans as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) accredited through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Or Certified Behavior Technician credential through Washington DOH
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred but not required
• Experience working with children with ASD in a school setting, clinic, in-home
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must pass a background check
