Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking 2 dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with exceptional needs. This is a full-time position, with 8 hours per day, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction to students based on their unique learning requirements
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure a comprehensive and effective educational plan
• Assess students' progress, track their achievements, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, resources, and materials to engage students and promote their learning and development
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress reports, behavior records, and attendance records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (CO state certification preferred)
• Experience working with students with special needs, particularly in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals

Caseload: The caseload for each Special Education Teacher will consist of approximately 15 students. You will have the opportunity to provide personalized attention and support to each student, ensuring their individual needs are met.
