This role is responsible for the assisting in managing the QC Team and ensuring the quality and acceptability of the fabricated products. Leads the compliance and audits with the public and private auditing institutions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Follows Safety Guideline and procedures set for this role.
  • Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tool if he/she has not been trained to operate.
  • Must maintain the required certifications for the specific drainage structures produced.
  • Must be on-site working primarily in the production areas directly overseeing the QC Technicians and performing routine inspections during production operations.
  • Supervise product testing and ensure procedure accuracy
  • Assess production process issues and recommends improvements.
  • Proper preparation and or evaluation of mix designs
  • Inspecting form condition, cleanliness, dimensions and placement.
  • Checking for the correct usage and placement of reinforcing steel.
  • Assuring procedures are followed for batching, mixing, placing, consolidating, finishing and curing of concrete.
  • Evaluation of damaged product and repair procedures.
  • Completes yard inspections to make sure product is properly marked, stored and not in need of further repair due to handling before shipping.
  • Maintains documentation verifying production and testing equipment has been properly and accurately calibrated in accordance with local standards.
  • Performs 30-day (monthly) quality audits on QC documentation.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ACI certification
  • PCI Certification or obtain in 90 days

EXPERIENCE

  • 12 months in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in heavy manufacturing and/or concrete desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry and their applications.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, and production processes
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and team members.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must procure all certificates and licenses to perform position as well as be qualified by AmeriTex Pipe to operate powered Industrial Trucks required to fulfill position requirements.

ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Field Testing, ACI Aggregate and PCI Certifications

  • Team Member will likely be required to operate heavy machinery after being qualified to operate by AmeriTex Pipe and Products for the specific machinery required.
