We have immediate openings for Mechanical Assembly Technician in Ashland, VA. The main responsibility of this position is assembly of crane mechanical components. Rigging experience is a plus. Pay is $20 - $23 per hour based on skillset and experience. If you have experience as a Mechanical Assembly Technicianapply now!

Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components (i.e. bearings) on overhead cranes
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair crane equipment
  • Install couplings on shafts
  • Use basic hand tools to fabricate, assemble, and install components.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Operate proper PPE(personal protective equipment) at all times
  • Follow safe work guidelines at all times

Mechanical Assembly Technician Qualifications:

  • 2+ years millwright/ assembling experience
  • Able to read shop drawings
  • Able to operate overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Lift 50+ pounds
  • Rigging experience a plus

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift (6AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Monday to Friday, Saturdays as needed
  • Full-time

Salary:

  • $20 - $23 per hour Pay based on experience
