JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Slot Floorperson Jobcode: # 111141

DEPARTMENT: Slots

DIVISION: Casino Operations

REPORTS TO: Slot Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

To run the slots floor to highest standards of efficiency, security and guest satisfaction, in accordance with the procedures and policies of the company.

1. Punctuality - Floorpersons are expected to report on time for their shift.
2. Attendance - continuous absenteeism will not be tolerated as it effects colleagues and the whole operation.
3. Appearance and personal hygiene - a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene must be maintained at all times in accordance with the procedures manual.
4. Uniform-must be in complete company approved uniform prior to and during the entire shift.
5. Cooperation - with colleagues and Supervisor is expected at all times.
6. Policies and Procedures- Floorpersons are expected to keep abreast of all company and departmental policies and procedures.
7. Must ensure general security of the floor and report any undesirables to the shift manager.
8. Must ensure security and safety of equipment and report any dangerous conditions to the shift supervisor.
9. Money handling- Floorpersons are expected to handle money transactions accurately and all transactions should be done using Slot Dept. money handling techniques.
10. Floorpersons will generate and pay jackpot up to designated limit as stated in the Slot Department’s policies and procedures.
11. Floorpersons will generate and perform slot machine hopper fills up to designated limit as stated in the Slot Department’s policies and procedures.
12. Floorpersons will verify accuracy of jackpots paid to guests.
13. Floorpersons will verify accuracy of hopper fills for slot machines
14. Completes all required paperwork completely and accurately according to slot policy.
15. Must have a thorough knowledge of machine operation, malfunctions and codes.
16. Must carry “Pouch Pay” bank consisting of currency in order to change bills for guests at machines, process Jackpots, and redeem approved coupons.
17. Serve and assist guests as efficiently as possible in the event of a minor malfunction of a machine.
18. Attend to coin jams in the hopper and coin comparators efficiently.
19. Undertake limited technical duties under supervision.
20. Ensure optimum slot machine operation and minimal machine down time by reporting any malfunction to a Supervisor.
21. Responsible and accountable for all keys issued to him/her while on duty.
22. Responsible and accountable for radio equipment issued to him/her while on duty.
23. Must not carry out major technical repairs.
24. Have a complete knowledge of all facilities available to guests.
25. At all times Floorpersons must be polite and pay attention to guest needs.
26. Must create a friendly, helpful and welcoming atmosphere by facial expression, tone of voice and greeting.
27. Promptly answer any calls for assistance from guests and assist them in any way possible relating to the playing of machines.
28. Will initially attend to floor disputes or complaints diplomatically and call the Supervisor or manager to deal with the problem.
29. Establishes close contact with good slot players and treatment policies consistent with their play.
30. To actively promote the slot department with regular contact and communication with guests.
31. Comply with state and federal regulations including Title 31 and tax withholding for jackpots.
32. Other tasks as requested by management.

EDUCATION OR SKILLS REQUIRED: High School diploma or GED. Good math skills. Good customer service skills required. Must be able to obtain Mississippi Gaming license.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: (reasonable accommodations will be made if needed)

The following activities are normally required to perform these functions: stand, walk, lift, bend, reach, read, write, eye to hand coordination, depth perception, effective verbal communication, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills.

HAZARDS: Standing and walking almost entire shift. Pushing or pulling a cart loaded with coin. Repetitive lifting, carrying of coin up to but not limited to 25 lbs. Repetitive bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling. Exposure to second hand smoke. High noise level.
