Kable Staffing is in urgent need of a Quality Technician in Columbus, OH. This position is a full-time, temporary opportunity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
- Maintain, test, and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices
- Attempt repairs on broken or damaged products to determine the best way to scale those repairs
- Test a certain percentage of all products based on industry standards
- Report problems or concerns to senior management immediately
- Manage our quality assurance division and ensure all employees meet their required quotas
- Provide training and support to QA team
- Create an effective, efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines
- Comply with all safety, hazardous material and OSHA training, rules, and reporting, ensuring a safe work environment
- Meet productivity standards after successfully completing training
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years old
- Previous experience in a distribution center environment helpful
- Maintain flexibility regarding job assignments including other departments, brands, locations, and mandatory overtime
- Be a team player with the ability to work well with others
- Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time, up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Work in repetitive environment that includes 1 or more of the following for up to 12 hours: grasp, grip, reach, pull, push, bend, squat, kneel, twist, or balance
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Pass a background check and drug test
