Position Title: Maintenance Planner - Scheduler

Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary:

The Maintenance Planner-Scheduler, reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is a vital position that is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Inventory
  • Planning & Scheduling
  • CMMS (Fiix)
  • Receiving of equipment and parts
  • Capex reporting and tracking

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promote an action-oriented safety culture embracing safety as a core value. Instilling and exemplifying a safety mindset for all team members resulting in an incident free workplace.
  • Responsible for long-range and short-range planning.
  • Maintains all asset data within Fiix and updates as needed.
  • Plan all work orders to ensure the scope is identified, resource numbers and hours are estimated, required materials and tools are identified and on-hand.
  • Coordinates all work orders with Maintenance Team Leads to ensure proper planning and asset needs are met.
  • Maintains a manageable work order back-log.
  • Assists in development and implementation of Predictive and Preventative Maintenance work.
  • Ensures all work requiring downtime are identified and ready for execution.
  • Effectively maintain inventory and ensures all items are captured and properly identified in Fiix.
  • Responsible for reordering of inventory items.
  • Properly receive all items procured in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Aide and Assist with Capex project(s) are required and or requested.
  • Provides weekly KPI report to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Generate purchase orders as requested and or required
  • Performs other tasks and assignments as requested by the Maintenance Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Technical degree preferred.
  • 5 years of mechanical and or electrical trades experience (trades/technician)
  • Minimum of three years mechanical and/or electrical maintenance planning experience
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Word required.
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous use and knowledge of a CMMS system preferred and or other affiliated CMMS systems.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of the planning and scheduling of maintenance work functions as they apply to predictive, preventive, precision, proactive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Advanced comprehension of the equipment mechanical/electrical functions preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause skills mandatory.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Hot, humid environment at times, as well as cold, wet conditions for up to 12-hour shift.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or higher.
  • Lift and carry up to 100 lbs. on an infrequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or above.
