OVERVIEW: Brunton is seeking a motivated, dedicated worker to join our general production team, specifically in the compass assembly area. This role may also involve vial room and dark room specialty work. New workers are fully trained by experienced staff to learn the unique skills and procedures required for this job, so no prior experience is required.
Any person under age 18 is not permitted to enter the machine shop, paint shop, vial room or dark room.
This applicant must be 18 years or older.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with current general production staff to help achieve Bruntons production goals
General production tasks will focus on recreational compass assembly and include operations including, but not limited to: glueing, aligning, tying, packaging, and operation of ultrasonic welder
Specialized tasks in the vial room involve work with vacuum tanks and contact with mineral spirits and epoxies
Specialized tasks in the dark room involve work in low-light situations with photography chemicals and thin metal sheets
Adhere to high quality control standards, with extreme care for every process and product
Follow directions and procedures that are given, respecting the authority of supervisors
Be willing to cross over into other production and facility operations as needed and when asked
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures throughout the work cycle
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment during operations that require it
Keep a neat, organized, and clean workspace
DESIRED SKILLS:
Be able to follow a variety of procedures well, paying close attention to detail
Be able to follow verbal and written directions from supervisors and team leaders
Have a positive attitude and be a team player
Be willing to learn how to work with specialized machinery
Have good dexterity and ability to work with small parts, including hand strength to press compass vials into baseplates
Be able and willing to work with chemicals and epoxies in safe and ventilated areas
Be able to measure and follow chemical and epoxy mixing procedures
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Have excellent time management and organizational skills
Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time while remaining focused on tasks
Be able to do repeated procedures on large quantities of items
REPORTS TO: Production Manager and Floor Supervisor
LOGISTICAL DETAILS: Position located in Riverton, WY at Brunton production facility
Full-time, 4-day, and part-time openings are available flexibility to meet your needs
8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday Friday work week
Full-time and 4-day (averaging at least 32 hrs/wk) workers are eligible for generous paid time off (PTO), insurance benefits, and retirement package, including several company matching opportunities; full-time (averaging 40 hrs/wk) workers receive the added benefit of paid holidays Hourly pay starts at $9.86/hour during training period, with potential for additional $0.25- $0.50/hour once trained; subsequent annual raises based on skillset, time with company, and performance
