Position: Anesthesia Tech

Department: OR

Location: Cass City, MI

Aspire Rural Health Systems is seeking a full time Anesthesia Tech in our OR department. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patient.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to work independently and can take direction.
• Individual is organized, has good communication skills, and pays attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ordering/requesting medical consultation, lab tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic studies, when applicable.
• Selecting, obtaining, ordering and administration of pre-anesthetic medications and fluids.
• Selecting, applying, and/or inserting appropriate non-invasive and invasive monitoring modalities.
• Selecting, obtaining, and administering the anesthetics, adjuvant and accessory drugs, fluids, blood products necessary to manage the aesthetic and maintain the patient’s physiologic homeostasis.
• Managing the patient’s airway and pulmonary status using currents practice modalities.
• Facilitating emergence and recovery from anesthesia by selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administering medications, fluids, and ventilator support.
• Discharging the patient from the post-anesthesia care area and providing post-anesthesia follow-up care.
• Selecting and ordering pain medication and administration for post-op pain management.
