Job Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance Management:
- Manage compliance projects and track the status of all regulatory and grant compliance filings to ensure timely completion and submission.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive, scalable method of tracking compliance responsibilities and maintaining regulatory records across departments.
- Oversee the review of all aspects of our current reporting process to ensure accuracy and streamline procedures where possible.
- Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, enforcement actions, and audits in a timely manner.
Policy Development and Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and grant requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliance measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Monitor changes in regulatory and grant related compliance requirements, updating internal policies as needed.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess regulatory risks associated with proposed organizational initiatives.
- Research requirements and potential penalties associated with grant opportunities.
- Provide compliance support across departments, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Other:
- Coordinate the development of compliance related training programs as needed.
- Foster a culture of compliance through communication and awareness campaigns.
- Other special projects as necessary.
Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in Law, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years’ professional experience in the telecommunications regulatory field with expertise in handling matters before federal and state regulatory agencies, including state public service commissions.
- Developed expertise in telecommunications regulations and familiarity with various filing requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in leadership roles, managing compliance teams, and coordinating activities across departments.
- Ability to delegate tasks appropriately and effectively project manage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic, high volume, and ambitious environment.
- Proficient with office and compliance management software.
- Occasional overnight travel as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (Drug and Background).
