Mechanical Engineer

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for providing support to Engineers, Designers and Drafters at our Cunningham location.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design Conventional Surface and Compact Wellheads.
  • Create Technical drawing, Prepare Calculations, Revise Existing Products & Provide Installation Support.
  • Oversee design projects performed by Engineers and Sr. Designers.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve product issues, and provide technical information.
  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting software.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering Manager on customer problems and needs.
  • Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve product issues, and provide technical information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent course work.
  • BOP Experience
  • 5-7 years’ Mechanical Design experience in the oilfield industry required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in design Compact Surface Wellhead.
  • Experience in design Conventional surface wellhead per API 6A latest edition.
  • 2D/3D CAD software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and EPDM
  • Knowledge of drilling practices and drilling rigs preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of drafting principles per ANSI Y 14.5
  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
