ABOUT NCEES

The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors. NCEES staff members develop and support the administration and scoring of all the national examinations used for engineering and surveying licensure in the United States. We also promote uniformity of the U.S. licensure processes through services for our member licensing boards and licensees. We are proud to promote excellence in all we do.

ABOUT OUR POSITION

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced full-time meeting planner in the Greenville, SC area to join our team. As a meeting planner, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating approximately 70 NCEES meetings per year, ranging in size from 5 to 100 attendees and assisting with other activities for larger meetings. Duties include acting as primary liaison with host hotels, creating and managing RFP processes, negotiating contracts, building and managing online registration systems, writing communications, and managing meetings using Cvent Event Management system.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You'll need to have:

• A bachelor’s degree
• 2–5 years of meeting planning experience
• Exceptional negotiation and organizational skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to develop and manage partnerships with vendors (e.g., caterers, hotels)
• Ability to travel 2–5 times per year

Even better if you have:

• Certified Meeting Planning Professional (CMP) designation or desire to earn it
• Experience working with Cvent Event Management system
