Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Baker for the Hotel Northland in Green Bay, WI.

Job Purpose:

Assists Pastry Chef in the preparation of all items for the Food and Beverage outlets. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.

  • Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
  • Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents.
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up spills, etc., to ensure safe working environment.
  • Assimilate into The Hilton Family PRIDE/CARE culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PRIDE/CARE.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the property.
  • OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:
  • De-greaser once/month; Disinfectants
  • Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The hotel provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.

Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

  • Must have basic knowledge of the fundamentals of baking including temperatures and timing.
  • Must have basic knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
  • Must have knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, mixers, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, etc.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, and portion sizes.
  • Ability to read and write the English language in order to read recipes and communicate with other employees.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tong, slicers, pastry bags and variety of tip usages, etc.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move (rotate) goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
  • Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.

  • Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.

  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
