Job Summary

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is a member of a multi‑disciplinary team providing comprehensive counseling services. All services are provided in the clinic or via telehealth to the patient’s home or to another CHCCW clinic. Consultative services are provided by LCSWs and LPCs to other CHCCW professional staff to optimize continuity of patient care. The LCSW/LPC will coordinate screening, develop treatment plans and carry out direct counseling in response to patient need. This position is to provide counseling services for children, aged 4 and up; adolescents; and adults through geriatric age.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary medical team;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed;
  • Experience with diverse socio-economic backgrounds;
  • Experience with all age groups, different cultures and socio-economic groups;
  • A strong understanding of the interrelationship among physiological and psychological conditions;
  • Experience and/or training in child specific treatment (play therapy, family therapy, parenting) and adolescent/adult therapies such as CBT, DBT, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with the clinical guidelines and procedures of CHCCW;
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting diagnostic interviews, identifying DSM diagnoses and developing counseling plans
  • Assist in the provision of a broad spectrum of services to CHCCW patients who are in need of such assistance. Such services may involve substance abuse, socio-economic issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, marital relationships and other realms of patient needs in both individual and group settings.
  • Participates in the functions and activities of the Behavioral Science Department and conducts case management and counseling services in accordance with the mission and goals of the CHCCW.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Minimal requirements/qualifications for this position include a Master’s degree from an accredited institution with appropriate academic emphasis. License by the Mental Health Professions or license eligible in Wyoming.

Work in a clinical setting has potential for exposure to blood and body fluids, chemicals, and infectious pathogens. Must be able to use protective equipment as required.
