Job Description
The Warehouse Foreman will be responsible for all Warehouse inventory. This position will require the ability to complete purchasing, shipping and receiving of new equipment for Technician stock and job requirements. Maintaining a stock of shop supplies, tools, and swaps will be expected.
The Warehouse Foreman will also be required to service and maintain portable fire extinguishers for current and new customers as well as servicing portable fire extinguishers for daily stock. The Foreman will provide a safe and clean work environment in Fireline’s warehouse and shop areas. The Foreman will also be required to transport material requiring a D.O.T. Driver’s license.
Handle/distribute shipping and receiving
Inventory control
Maintain a safe and workable area
Operate forklift as needed
Create purchase orders from work orders
Order materials for jobs
Contact vendors to check the status of purchase orders
Review purchase order confirmations
Pull material for sales tickets
Prepare material lists for jobs
Check in materials for jobs
Monitor/Review inventory
Transfer material from trucks to inventory
Add items to inventory
Transfer material to and from trucks
Transfer material to and from jobs
Provide great customer service to customers and technicians
Assist at the front counter with walk in customers when needed.
Tag extinguishers as necessary
Inspect, repair and test fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices.
Perform all maintenance and inspections for walk in customers.
Dismantle extinguishers and examines the internal mechanical parts, extinguishing agents and expelling means; replaces worn or damaged parts.
Clean extinguishers and recharge them with approved materials
Transport equipment between offices and make deliveries to customers when necessary.
Assist in annual fire extinguisher inspections when needed
Other Requirements:Applicants must be 18+
Ability to lift a 55lbs.
Ability to work with small tools
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Ability to stand for 8 hours
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain a D.O.T. Driver’s license
