Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team of professionals. The Senior Accountant will help the Firm’s Comptroller in performing the complete accounting cycle and assist in the data analysis of the Firm’s key performance indicators. The Senior Accountant will have, among others, the following main responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Full accounting functions including journal entry preparation and review, account analysis, year end transactions and closings.
  • Assure compliance of internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Responsible to produce periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for annual external audits.
  • Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  • Conduct audit file preparation and prepare consolidated financial statements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage an intense agenda.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with mayor in Accounting required.
  • Five (3-5) years or more of related experience required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
