HEAVY TRUCK PARTS CLERK
JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
As a valued member of our team, you would be responsible for inventory control, executing shop administrative tasks, and organizing day-to-day functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including the following; other duties may be assigned)
-Compile Parts research and availability for inventory needed.
-Review order points and quantity with supervisors.
-Establish/maintain accounts and parts inventory levels.
-Storing, labeling, and organizing parts inventories.
-Issue parts as requisitioned.
-Determine parts dispositions as needed.
-Order and receive inventories into our RTA Fleet Management Software.
-Report on a daily basis work orders and activity reports.
-Track and process purchases
-Manage the parts inventory for the main shop
-Issue parts as requisitioned
-Assist in parts purchasing
-Handle warranty part ordering/returns
-Process and manage receipts, payables, and invoices from suppliers
-Manage vendor performance for timely repairs and invoicing
-Answer telephone dealing directly with customers and vendors
-Inform/Schedule preventative maintenance service with customers
-Accurately input work requests into our system
-Other tasks as required

Qualifications
-Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
-Barcoding experience
-Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
-High degree of accuracy
-Good time management skills
-Regular, predictable, full time attendance is an essential function of the job
-Heavy truck and equipment experience

Education/Experience
-High School diploma or GED
-2 years of parts inventory experience
-1 year of inventory management experience preferred
- Valid unrestricted California Driver License

Language Skills
-Effective oral and written communications skills in English language
-Bilingual candidates who can speak both English and Spanish are preferred, but not mandatory

Reasoning Ability
-Ability to work independently
