Custom Product Specialist I

Job Summary:

Specializes in the support and creation of custom product. Ensures the accurate processing and configuration of all incoming custom customer orders. Coordinates and monitors customer orders for configuration accuracy. Assists with custom Service Parts orders. Provides other support as required. Responsible for prototyping and NPD work including documentation and training for future assembly. Interacts directly with customers.

Responsibilities:

· Serves as technical expert in the area of Vehicle Configurations. Possesses the ability to analyze, test, modify and repair powertrains, electrical systems suspensions and chassis.

· Receives requested vehicle configurations from sales/COM along with description of custom content requested. Works with PQEs and CS resources to develop functional vehicle configurations for sales/COM to quote/order.

· Verifies accurate order information and configuration making adjustments and updates as required.

· Create and communicate through drawings or other media technical specifications, machining and welding details. Understands electrical system design.

· Develop and update detailed work instructions for custom designed kits.

· Advanced knowledge of fabrication techniques, appropriate application skills and their use in developing new accessories for existing Club Car (CCI) models.

· Knowledge of common design processes and the application within CCI.

· Capable of discussing product options with customers including pricing and timing.

· Applies knowledge to creating standard work instructions within Value Streams.

· Initiates Custom Change Requests for required design modifications.

· Serve as key point-of-contact for all issues pertaining to custom configuration. Identify root cause of configuration concerns and initiate corrective action.

· Basic modeling and drafting capabilities within Pro Engineer.
