Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist
Our Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist will receive a competitive sign on bonus!
Location: 4629 Aicholtz Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45244: Position serves Adam and Brown County Head Start and Early Head Start Locations
Degree Required: Master’s in Social Work or Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
License Required: LSW, LPC, or MFT
Experience Required: at least 1 year working with ages 0-5 and their families
License Preferred: LISW, LPCC, IMFT
Primary job responsibilities: This unique role provides prevention/consultation and treatment services for children 0-5 years old referred by Early Head Start/Head Start, private daycares, and public/private preschools and families.
An ideal candidate will have:
- a passion for supporting caregivers/teachers who work with infants and young children, who are excited to learn and grow professionally
- strong rapport-building/networking skills and belief in collaboration and teamwork using a strength-based perspective.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support infants and young children in identifying strengths, and building resiliency and caregiver capacity at an early stage with families and centers.
Programmatic/classroom consultation is utilized and consists of observation, assessment and developing intervention plans collaboratively with center directors/teachers to improve their ability to manage challenging behaviors and strengthen infant and young children's social/emotional development, attachment and resiliency within their program.
Individual intervention prevention services are another level of support consisting of using a planned sequence of culturally relevant, evidenced-based strategies designed to reduce the likelihood of or delay the onset of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders for infants/young children referred by the center/caregiver. Prevention services are also provided in conjunction with the Ohio Preschool Expulsion Prevention Partnership.
You will provide 1-2 days a week individual/family treatment services with some remote work possibilities.
Services are provided year-round. Clinical supervision is provided free of charge for those dependently licensed. Training provided free of charge that will help meet continuing education requirements.
Some travel is required with mileage reimbursement provided
