Overview:
As a Transportation Driver at Innovative Senior Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of senior adults to and from our facility. You will be responsible for providing a comfortable and secure transportation experience, while also maintaining compliance with safety regulations and providing assistance as needed.
Working Hours: Average no more than 28 hours weekly; Monday thru Friday(Between 6:00 AM- 9:00 AM) Morning Route and (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM) Afternoon Route
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safe Transportation: Safely drive participants to and from [Your Senior Care Adult Day Care Center] and their homes, ensuring their comfort and security during the journey.
2. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the transportation vehicle. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
3. Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe driving record, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Pass required background checks, including a criminal background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.
4. CPR and First Aid: Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification to respond effectively to medical emergencies during transportation.
5. OJT PASS: Complete the required on-the-job training (OJT) with a passing grade.
6. Defensive Driving: Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of participants and other road users.
7. Wheelchair Training: Receive training on safely securing and transporting participants who use wheelchairs or mobility devices.
8. Participant Assistance: Provide assistance to participants as they board and exit the transportation vehicle, including securing wheelchairs and assisting with seatbelts.
9. Schedule Adherence: Follow a transportation schedule, ensuring timely arrival and departure to accommodate the needs of participants.
Qualifications:
1. MVR: Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past seven years.
2. Background Checks: Pass required criminal background checks as required by local regulations.
3. CPR and First Aid Certification: Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
4. OJT PASS: Successful completion of the on-the-job training (OJT) program.
5. Defensive Driving: Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and adherence to safe driving practices.
6. Wheelchair Training: Training in securing and transporting participants with mobility devices.
7. Empathy: Compassion and understanding for the needs of senior participants during transportation.
