Parking Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Parking Attendant to join our team. We are an Adult Lifestyle Resort looking for an energetic team player to join our team. As a parking attendant, you will primarily assist our guests by guiding our guest to locations where they can park & monitoring the traffic flow in & out of the resort. A parking lot attendant is someone who manages a parking facility. Attendants monitor conditions in the facility to deter criminal activity.
Your responsibilities will also include warmly greeting guests as they arrive. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and service-oriented!

Responsibilities:

• Perform valet duties and park vehicles in open spots.
• Take tickets from waiting patrons and park or retrieve vehicles.
• Manipulate vehicles to take advantage of all spaces.
• Collect fees from patrons wishing to park in garage.
• Call tow trucks if person is parked illegally.
• Issue tags to customers to put up in their windshields for display.
• Clean up debris from parking lot.
• Use hand signals and lights to direct patrons into open spots.
• Check vehicles for damage.
• Ensure cameras are working properly in case an accident happens.
• Safely direct the flow of traffic entering and exiting the parking area
• Answer inquiries regarding hotel amenities and local businesses/attractions
• Maintain an organized key tracking system
• Follow all traffic laws while parking vehicles in designated areas
• Position or remove barricades to prevent parking in certain spots.
• Open doors and greet customers.
• Dispense change if person pays fee to park.
• Help customers locate their vehicles.
• Resolve parking lot disputes that occur between customers.
• Escort customers to their vehicles if needed.
• Help customers jump-start vehicles that have died.
• Call for cabs or tow trucks per clients' request.
• Green-light motorists coming into garage after checking identification.
• Fill or change flat tires and replace batteries.
• Help patrons exit parking garage safely.
• Give directions to nearest highway or destination.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License
• Previous work experience as a parking attendant or similar role
• Able to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission
• Neat and clean appearance
• Friendly and courteous
